Dominance, Emotional Appeal - Linda

I first caught her in profile eating her cereal with the bird in the feeder on the window above her but ISO was too high. This one of her holding her bitten berry shows her exuberance with the first berries of the season. I think the berry dominates then the eye goes to her eye and smile. Bird bath and rose are in the background. Metadata; 1/30, f4.5, ISO 400, spot meter off her face, 70mm, aperture priority, Auto WB with exposure bias of -1/3 to mute light from window.

The more wistful, mood shot has her looking out the window as she savors a second bite. The dominance of her arm is modified by the curve that frames the corner somewhat. Metadata: 1/50, f4.5, ISO 400, spot meter, exp bias -1/3, aperture priority, auto WB.

  1. I love the second shot! Although I think the first shot is good, the second shot has so much more emotion and interest in it. The blurred background helps emphasize the subject, and teh highlight on the strawberry just keeps drawing my eye back. Great job!
